Hackers and AuthenticatorsPosted by AlleyFebruary 5, 2010 at 6:09 pm
Hi everyone! If you don't have one yet, please consider getting an authenticator. It gives an added level of protection to your WoW account. There is an actual keyfob authenticator ($6.50) and mobile apps (a dollar or two) that you can buy.
If you've got a iPhone or iPod Touch, the app is free of charge. For more information, see: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?locale=en_US&articleId=24986&pageNumber=1&searchQuery=authenticator Though Blizzard usually gets all your gear back to you after being hacked, it's a huge hassle and takes a while. If you've got the cash, get the authenticator. It's worth it. Here's how it works: you log in normally with your username and password. A new window pops up and asks for the number showing on the face of your authenticator (the number changes every 30 or so seconds). You enter that number and then you're in. That's it. Ventrilo ServerPosted by AlleyJanuary 4, 2010 at 11:16 pm
Hi All!
We're considering moving to another Ventrilo hosting service. But then again, we might not. We'll make a definitive announcement later this week. If we decide to move, details will be in this Ventrilo thread. More news to come! Nobody will be left voiceless, don't worry! Where is the Guild Leader?Posted by AlleySeptember 16, 2009 at 6:43 pm
Hello to all folks old and new! If you're new to the guild, unfortunately, I have probably not yet met you in Vent or in-game. Hopefully I will be able to at some point. Unfortunately, for the time being, this forum is one of the only ways to reliably contact me. Feel free to message me in this forum with any questions or concerns or just to say hello.
So what happened to me? One day I was happily self-employed, online all day doing dailies, chatting and being a general WoW addict, and the next I was disappeared. Real life got a hold of me and now I have a full-time job. Yep, it's actually that simple. By the time I get home, it's time to make dinner. By the time dinner is done, raid is waaaayyy over and it's time for me to hit the sack. And then it starts all over the next day. So, what's to be done? Well...our guild happens to have a great group of officers who are always willing to help and listen and answer questions. Again you can contact me directly or you can go to your friendly neighborhood officer. Don't hesitate. If you're an old friend, hello and I miss you! If you're a new friend, welcome to Serenity! 25-Man Raiding is BackPosted by AlleySeptember 8, 2009 at 1:10 pm
The subject line says it all. Welcome back to the 25-man raiding arena, everyone!

For members old and new, we've set up a Serenity Alumni website for all members to stay in touch with each other.
Because Wowstead registration is reliant on wowarmory and only allows membership if you have a toon in the game, we added another site specifically for alumni that has more flexiblility in terms of membership and registration. Go check it out and register if you want to stay in contact with folks who are no longer in the game. Oh, and spread the word to all Serenity alumni you bump into: http://serenityalumni.guildportal.com Alts and MainsPosted by AlleyJune 7, 2009 at 10:56 pm
In an effort to begin addressing some issues we've had with alts, today we unlinked a main's dkp from their alt's dkp. Your alt will have to accrue dkp on its own.
There will be more changes coming soon for your input! Policy on Guild QuittingPosted by AlleyMay 11, 2009 at 12:27 pm
We've hammered out some guidelines for guild quitting, in order to make the process more transparent and fair to everyone.
Here are the details: We hope all the good people of Serenity will be in the guild for the long term, but in the event you quit guild and wish to return, you will need to reapply using the guild application form unless extenuating circumstances exist, to be determined by the guild leader. All officers will vote on your application, as is the standard operating procedure for all applicants, and a decision will be based on that vote. Please note, you have 48 hours from the time you gquit to reapply to the guild, otherwise you will forfeit both your DKP and rank, which means you start over from scratch with 0 DKP and Inductee rank. ChampioningPosted by AlleyNovember 22, 2008 at 1:44 pm
Hello level 80s! Now that you've sped your way up to the top, it's probably time to figure out what to do next. As we gradually assemble folks for our 25-man teams, make sure to check out what the various faction quartermasters have for you. It's a cheap way to get really really excellent upgrades.
Also, In order to build faction quickly, Blizz has introduced Championing. As you run level 80 instances (5-man heroics), you get extra rep if you wear a certain faction's tabard. It's a quick way to build your reputation with certain factions. So when you know what gear you want, get the tabard and equip it. The current Northrend championing factions are: • Wyrmrest Accord - quartermaster in Wyrmrest Temple in Dragonblight • Argent Crusade - quartermaster in Argent Vanguard in Icecrown • Kirin Tor - quartermaster in The Violet Citadel in Dalaran • Knights of the Ebon Blade - quartermaster in The Shadow Vault in Icecrown From the WoW official website: Northrend Special Reputation Tabards if you're friendly with certain Northrend dungeon factions (Wyrmrest Accord, Knights of the Ebon Blade, Kirin tor and Argent Crusade only), you can wear that faction's tabard to any level 80 dungeon and funnel all the rep to that faction. Make sure you pick up your tabard as soon as you can! | ||
